Zoelle is a Sound Designer from South Bend, IN. Her prominent areas of focus are design, editing software, QLab, and technician work. Some of her past work credits include: Lungs (Ball State University), Dead Man's Cell Phone (Ball State University), and Full Circle Dance (Ball State University). Zoelle plans to move to the Chicago, Atlanta, or Washington D.C. region after graduation.
Why did you choose your area of focus?
I chose to focus in sound because it was something that I was naturally drawn to. I found the science behind sound and the creation of it very interesting. Part of this was because I am deaf in my right ear. The mix of sound and vibrations created a different listening experience for me.
Inspiring Moment or Person?
My inspiring moment that led her to do sound was seeing the first Iron Man movie. They way that a character and world was created/enhanced by a soundtrack and effects interested her. Her love of this movie and all Marvel movies led her to created playlists to different scenarios and moods, as if she was designing a movie or play. That is also where her interest in film started.
